गायत्री मंत्र

ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्।

Translation

ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः AUM Bhur Bhuvah Svah
AUM - the primal sound, the absolute reality, the Brahman, and encompassing Bhur -the physical realm, Bhuva - the mental realm and Svah - the celestial realm
तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं: Tat Savitur Varenyam
That divine light of Savitar, the Sun, most adorable
भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि: Bhargo (The spiritual radiance) Devasya (of the divine) Dhimahi (May we imbibe it in us)
May we imbibe and attain the qualities of that divine spiritual radiance
धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्।: Dhiyo (intellect and wisdom) Yo (your) Nah (in us) Prachodayat (guide and motivate)
Inspire and guide our intellect with your wisdom in the right direction
